happy (way late) day of love.

So I am WAY late for wishing all a happy Valentines day...
things have been a little crazy around here and I
have barely had time to even blog (as you can see...).

Anywho, I have finally had some time to sit down and whip
out a few thoughts on this wonderful day of love that
I got to share with my sweetheart.

The day started off with lots of testing at work. The students
are doing the yearly UALPA test, which is a test for
students that don't have English as their first language.
Anyways, it took all day for me to test these teenagers, but
once 1:30 rolled around, I was on my way to meet Mr. Chris
at his work with the Kindergartener's. So exciting!

These kids were so cute and I envy Chris that he gets to work with them
all day when I get to work with fowl mouthed teenagers...
so not fair! But I helped these kids make V-Day boxes to put their
candy in, and I got to have little chats with them too. Kids say
the cutest things. I just love it!

After the little tykes went home, I left to go finish the fiances present and
to get ready for our hot, surprise date that he was taking me on :)

(Side note: this is what the fiance did to ask me out for this date.
This is my desk at work...yep isn't he adorable!!)

Back to the night...So Chris picked me up and took me to a DELICIOUS
dinner at Tucanos. Oh my word that place is so good.
Chris and I about died every time a waiter brought around a
new selection of meat. So yummy.

After dinner we went over to the school that Chris works at and
watched the 5th and 6th graders put on the play Aladdin.
So cute. Those kids, I couldn't get enough of them!

We then made a trip over to the movie theater and watched ourselves
Just Go With It. It's the new Adam Sandler flick. Chris
and I love movies, and so this idea was perfect!

To top the night off he drove me up to the spot where he proposed,
pulled out the iPad (yes we got an iPad...we are suckers for
all Mac technology), and played our song Marry Me, by Train,
as we danced and talked about our wedding and our future
that we are so excited to start. He is amazing.

Overall it was an amazing Valentines. I'm mad I don't have any
pictures to show from it...I need to be better!! But
I fell in love with my Christopher James even more that night.
I can't wait for the many Valentines Day's to come.

Chris's favorites from our engagement session with
Kelly from Gallery Photography.

Here they are. There's a lot of them...so enjoy!!

There they are! I hope you enjoyed them because we sure did.

2 months to go!

Alright, I have to make this post because it's so exciting...

there's only

2 months

until I get to marry Christopher James McNulty in the Salt Lake Temple.
It's crazy how fast time is flying...when we got engaged it
seemed like FOREVER until April, but here we are in February already
and there is still so much to do.

I (with help from Chris too) still need to figure out :

- decorations
- pictures to put around the reception hall
- what picture to use for our announcements
- find envelopes and cardstock for announcements
- mail announcements
- make the tissue paper flowers
- pay more money to vendors
- find jewelry and shoes
- complete bridesmaids outfits

and the list goes on...

But none the less I'm loving it and part of me can't wait for it to be
done, but the other part is SO ready to be done and to
be married already and just spend my days
with my cute hubby.

59 days.

monday thoughts.

It's Monday again...fancy that. I have to admit I forgot that it was
this day until I was looking over my own blog. Oops!

Anyways...the thought for today is on:

forgiveness.

This is something that I wouldn't say I struggle with all the time, but it is definitely
one thing that can be very hard to do when things are rough.
Forgiveness to me is something that another wants to give to others or
even themselves when sometimes it doesn't seem required.
I love the ability to forgive and to be forgiven for whatever the reason or cause
may be. It's a wonderful gift that we have been given.

I found this touching quote by Lance B. Wickman on forgiveness,

"It remains only for you and me to both seek and tender that forgiveness—to both repent and to extend charity to others—which enables us to pass through the door the Savior holds open, thus to cross the threshold from this life into exaltation. Today is the day to forgive others their trespasses, secure in the knowledge that the Lord will thus forgive ours. As Luke significantly recorded, “Be ye therefore merciful” (Luke 6:36; emphasis added). Perfection may elude us here, but we can be merciful. And in the end, repenting and forgiving are among God’s chief requirements of us."
